Accessibility Statement
Hollywood Tour Bus is committed to making our website and our tours usable by everyone, including people with disabilities.
Our commitment
We believe everyone should be able to research, compare, and book a Los Angeles sightseeing tour without barriers. We treat digital accessibility as an ongoing responsibility, not a one-time project, and we work to remove barriers as we find them.
If any part of this website prevents you from getting the information you need or completing a booking, please contact us. We will help you directly and use your feedback to fix the underlying issue.
Conformance status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It has three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.
This website aims to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We consider the site substantially conformant, meaning most of the standard is met, with a small number of known exceptions listed below that we are actively working to resolve.
Accessibility features of this site
We have built and tested this website with the following in mind:
- Keyboard navigation — all menus, tour cards, booking buttons, and links can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone.
- Screen reader support — descriptive alternative text on images, labelled buttons and controls, and a logical heading structure on every page.
- Colour contrast — text and interactive elements are checked against the WCAG AA 4.5:1 contrast ratio for body text.
- Responsive, zoom friendly layout — content reflows cleanly on phones, tablets, and at browser zoom up to 200% without horizontal scrolling.
- Descriptive links and headings — link text and page headings describe their destination or content rather than using generic phrases.
- Labelled maps and embeds — embedded maps carry descriptive titles so their purpose is announced by assistive technology.
- Multi-language support — a site-wide translation tool is available in the header for visitors who prefer another language.
Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some limitations remain. We are aware of the following and are working to address them:
Third-party booking widget
Our online booking calendar is provided by a third-party reservation platform. We do not control its markup and cannot guarantee it fully meets WCAG 2.1 AA. If you have difficulty using the online booking calendar, please call us at (323) 345-4000 and we will complete your booking over the phone at no extra cost.
Third-party translation and review widgets
The language selector and the Google reviews display are supplied by external providers. Their internal accessibility is outside our direct control. All essential information shown in these widgets — tour details, pricing, and contact options — is also available elsewhere on the site in accessible form.
Embedded maps
Google Maps embeds on our Meeting Locations page have limited keyboard support. Full street addresses for both departure points are always provided in plain text next to every map, and are repeated in the footer of every page.
Accessibility on our tours
Our tours operate on open-air buses. Please be aware of the following when planning your visit:
- Our open-air buses are not currently wheelchair accessible, as boarding requires the use of steps.
- Tour commentary is delivered live by an English-speaking guide. If you are deaf or hard of hearing, contact us before booking and we will do our best to accommodate you.
- Infant seats and booster seats are available on request at no charge.
- If you have specific mobility, sensory, or medical needs, please call us before booking so we can advise honestly on whether a given tour will work for you.
How we assess this site
We evaluate the accessibility of this website using a combination of methods:
- Automated testing with the WAVE Web Accessibility Evaluation Tool from WebAIM.
- Manual keyboard-only navigation checks across all key pages and the booking flow.
- Colour contrast verification against the WCAG 2.1 AA ratios.
- Review of heading structure, landmarks, and alternative text on each page.
This site is reviewed for accessibility on an ongoing basis, and re-checked whenever we add new pages, tours, or features.

- HTML
- WAI-ARIA
- CSS
- JavaScript
These technologies are relied upon for conformance with the accessibility standards used. The site is tested in current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge on desktop and mobile.
